Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a non-invasive, painless brain stimulation that supports the treatment of brain abnormalities.
During the therapy, we place special electrodes on the patient’s head, through which we act with current on a specific center in the brain that has been damaged or is functioning abnormally. The treatment causes immediate and permanent changes in brain function as a result of its neuroplasticity. During tDCS therapy, it is recommended to perform various rehabilitation tasks that enhance the effect of the current on the cerebral cortex.
The innovative technique of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation tDCS can be used in combination with another type of therapy tailored to the disorder the patient is facing. In my practice, I combine the brain micropolarization procedure with therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, transcutaneous neuromodulation and transcutaneous electrolysis, so we can achieve more satisfying therapeutic results.
